Flights Operating During The Festivities Of Ladakh Festival 2013

The time of Ladakh festival, which is September 20 to 26 every year, is probably the best time to explore this place. Flights to Leh- Ladakh
Leh and Ladakh have been tremendously popular as a favored tourist destination for the Indians as well as foreigners. While the people have been more than willing to explore the newer destinations having inhospitable weather, this endeavor has also been aided by the ease of access to these terrains. Leh and Ladakh can be approach via road but there are no railways in this part of the country. Via road, this can be approached through the Manali-Leh and the Srinagar-Leh routes.
However, there has also been an air-based connectivity between these places and a few other cities of the country. The leading airlines of India operate daily and weekly flights to these destinations. Leh has a civilian airport which is named as Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport. Ladakh does not have a civilian airport but two military air strips are present at Daulat Beg Oldie and Fukche.
Air India operates 2 daily flights from Delhi to Leh on Friday and Saturday and 1 daily flight on other days of the week.  From Jammu to Leh, there is 1 flight on Friday and Monday. From Srinagar to Leh there is only 1 weekly flight which operates on Wednesday.
Jet Airways operates 1 flight daily from Delhi to Leh from Monday to Friday and 2 flights on Sunday. However, it does not operate any flight on Saturdays.
GoAir also operates 2 daily non-stop flights from Delhi to Leh.
